What Data We Collect

Mailing List

When you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your email address. We store this alongside a unique identifier (UUID), your subscription status, and the date you subscribed.

Data Readiness Questionnaire

When you take the questionnaire, we store your answers and score linked to a random UUID. This data is anonymised by default. If you choose to receive an email report, we also collect your email address, which is stored separately from your questionnaire answers and linked only by UUID.

Contact Form

When you send a message via the contact form, your name, email, and message are sent directly to us via email. We do not store this data in a database.

How We Use Your Data

  • Mailing list: To send occasional updates about data, AI, and our services. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • Questionnaire: To provide your score and optional email report. Anonymised, aggregated questionnaire data may be used to understand general trends in data readiness.
  • Contact form: To respond to your enquiry.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in encrypted databases. Data in transit is protected by TLS encryption. We follow security best practices including web application firewalls, rate limiting, and access controls.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and equivalent data protection regulations, you have the right to:

  • Access your data — contact us to request a copy
  • Rectify inaccurate data — contact us to correct any errors
  • Erase your data — use the deletion link in any email we’ve sent you, or contact us directly
  • Unsubscribe — click the unsubscribe link in any email, effective immediately

Data Deletion

When you request data deletion:

  1. Your email address and personal identifiers are permanently deleted from our systems
  2. Your anonymised questionnaire answers (if any) remain for aggregate analytics but can no longer be linked to you
  3. Deletion is processed immediately upon confirmation

Data Retention

  • Mailing list data: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
  • Questionnaire responses: Anonymised responses retained indefinitely for aggregate analytics. Personal data (email) deleted on request
  • Contact form messages: Retained in email only; not stored in a database

Cookies

This website does not use cookies or tracking technologies.

Third Parties

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): Infrastructure provider (hosting, email delivery, database)
  • Calendly: If you book a call, Calendly’s own privacy policy applies to data entered on their platform
  • Google Fonts: Fonts are loaded from Google’s servers, which may log your IP address per Google’s privacy policy
